I would like to open up an online business but dont know where to get started?

I would sell diaper cakes, baby shower/wedding invitations, babyshower/wedding favors. Should i make my own website or get an ebay store, and how do i do either one of them?

Having your own website is not as hard as you think to get started. There are a lot of “Web Hosting” companies out there that will set you up with your own web site name and let you choose from a few template for design, but then you are on you own. And without any help how will you ever learn how to drive traffic to your site? Ebay has changed a lot of its store owners policies and you now have to have so many “Good” reviews from sales before you are allowed to open a store, and even still you would to find a drop shipper (a company that supplies products) and set up a business relationship with them. And once that is all set up, you are still competing with other Ebay stores. All this is might seem overwhelming, but there is a light. I have my own web site, and offer only party ideas. I found a company that not only teaches you how to build your own web site, but they teach you how to rank in the 10 of the search results of Google and Yahoo.
