Do you have to pay for checking in a baby stroller when flying?
I’m flying US Airways, and their website is not very helpful.
My understanding is that US Air is not collecting the baggage fee for gate-checked strollers, but is for strollers checked at the ticket counter. Gate checking is a much more convenient option anyhow.
To be sure, however, your best bet is to call the US Air customer service number and ask.
Edited to add: Don’t just park it outside the plane as another poster suggested! You will need to gate check your stroller and get a receipt before they close the aircraft door – otherwise you may never see it again!
